Find a wide area in your home where you can fit the dresser with enough space to walk around it. This could be a storage room, a dining room, a garage, or even outside. If you do not have such a space in your home, you may need to borrow space from elsewhere.
Once you have found a spot, clear the area so you can fit all the material for your project.
To avoid getting paint on your floor, lay down a drop cloth to paint your dresser on. Make sure it is much larger than the surface area of the top of the dresser.
